The Piast dynasty
The Piast dynasty was the first historical ruling dynasty of Poland.
The first documented Polish monarch was Prince Mieszko I (c. 930–992).
The Piasts' royal rule in Poland ended in 1370 with the death of king Casimir III the Great.
Branches of the Piast dynasty continued to rule in the Duchy of Masovia and in the Duchies of Silesia,
until the last male Silesian Piast died in 1675. The Piasts intermarried with several noble lines of Europe,
and possessed numerous titles, some within the Holy Roman Empire.

Born July 25, 1016, he died March 19, 1058 in Poznan.
Duke, ruler of Poland in the years 1034-1058 (with intermissions).
Kazimierz wife was Maria Dobroniega of Kiev (1012 - 1087r)
Boleslaw II (The Bold)
Born approx. 1042, he died on 2 or 3 April 1081 or 1082.
Duke of Poland in the years 1058-1076, King of Poland in the years 1076-1079.
He was the firstborn son of Casimir the Restorer and Maria Dobroniega.

Duke Boleslaw III Wrymouth
Born August 20, 1086, died October 28, 1138
Duke of Malopolska, Silesia and Sandomierz in the years 1102-1107, ruler of all Poland in the years 1107-1138.
His first wife was Zbyslava of Kiev (Światopełkówna) who was born about 1085 - 1090.
She died about. 1114 r.
